@retiredteacher Depending on how much weight you gained-muscle weighs more than non-muscle. When changing your diet it does take time for your body to adapt. Keep trying. I know I also gave up many foods...I have always been a salad and due to severe TMJ I can no longer chew anything hard or crunchy. Thankful for blenders and being a creative person.

I have fibromyalgia so I no longer eat gluten, sugar and only whole foods.

I realize this is about weight loss and I know several that struggle with their weight. We are all different and what works for one may not work for another.

I understand the feeling of being alone...Fibro and some other physical things have left me feeling alone. Do hope you can find encouragement here.

I've often wondered if Nutri-System or Adkins or Weight Watchers would work. It certainly wouldn't be as frustrating as trying to guess what will work and what won't. I have only been at this a little over a year, but it has thrown me because there is no pat answer for anything. I've probably checked every diet available including Spark People. That doesn't work for me. I just keep searching and realizing that each D2 is in the battle alone because we are all so different. I am sorry you have other problems to have to deal with too. Maybe some day someone will come along with the answers or a cure. Wouldn't that be terrific?
