Glad you made it @loli
Can this kind of cancer be treated with immunotherapy?
Hello @chapmanswife, @loli, @alpaca, @lisa_sj99, @mrsjhagen18 and @lzzie. Thank you for joining us this morning for our live Video Q&A about HPV-related Tongue and Tonsil Cancer.
I would like to express our apologies for not being able to answer questions while we were live, the time went too fast with this near and dear topic. However, Dr. Moore and Dr. Ma reviewed your questions and I have added responses' from our Physicians to your posted questions above.
@loli, Thank you for joining us today!
The reply from our physicians is "She should undergo follow-up exam by a head and neck cancer specialist for several years after treatment- this exam would look at her mouth, back of tongue, throat, and neck, with periodic imaging to look at her chest and abdomen"
The reply from our physicians is "Immunotherapy is under investigation as a part of the treatment for tonsil and base of tongue cancer- the results of how effective this is are not fully complete at this time"
