Eric Berg has had seizures due to epilepsy since he was 12 years old. This past year, his seizures increased in frequency, affecting his day-to-day life and his ability to work. With encouragement from his fiancee, Eric sought treatment at Mayo Clinic.
At Mayo Clinic, experts are using a new way to treat some seizure disorders: repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation, or rTMS. This treatment uses a magnetic field to stimulate certain areas of the brain. While often used to treat depression, repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation also is showing promise in treating seizures.
On the Mayo Clinic Q&A podcast, Eric Berg shares his story. His physician, Dr. Jeffrey Britton, a neurologist and chair of the Division of Epilepsy at Mayo Clinic, also joins the podcast and explains how repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation is used to treat seizure disorders.
To practice safe social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic, this interview was conducted using video conferencing. The sound and video quality are representative of the technology used. For the safety of its patients, staff and visitors, Mayo Clinic has strict masking policies in place. Anyone shown without a mask was recorded prior to COVID-19 or recorded in an area not designated for patient care, where social distancing and other safety protocols were followed.

That's really interesting. Can I order this drug from Canada? That would be a huge help. I'll do some research online......Tks
There is a Canadian company named Aurora who is also operating in the USA I am not sure if that will help you. I don’t buy my stuff through the dispensaries as it is more expensive I use the grey market. I am sure there are plenty of sites. You may want to try Colorado or Oregon as they are big industries there. I could give you the site I buy from but not sure Colleen allows that?
Here is some information about cross-border shipping of cannabis.

Be sure to check the regulations of your state and potential surprise customs costs.
Thanks Colleen
Collen I read the article and seems like the US has screwy rules. Its OK at the state level but not the federal level so going across the border with the stuff would cause a person allot of trouble. US legislature at the federal level is antiquated and does nothing to help people in need. My understanding there is a strong religious lobby dead set against in the USA and the politicians are afraid of hampering their votes so they pander to that sector of the community.
@semeon you have it exactly right! That is why our federal goverment gets nothing done. Large corporations, billionairs, religious bigots etc. run the show and no politician will bite the hand that feed them.
@mazeppabob I see you are interested in exploring medical cannabis for your personal health concerns. Have you explored that with your provider or just getting started with researching it on your own?
I have taken marajuana for about 4 years. I followed the Rick Simpson Oil Protocol (RSO) and use a well known strain called Phoenix Tears. You can research the net on RSO as he has been around for decades. There is allot of information available.
@amandajro I do not have seizures. I do have a sleep disorder that they have no treatment for.
I have discussed Canibus with my primary care Dr. and with several sleep medicine Dr's.
They say that not enough is knowen about it, there haven't been any studies done etc.
So what harm would it do to try? The side effects are minimal compared to the meds they put me on!
I did start a thread in the sleep group.
@mazeppabob I am glad you found your way into the Sleep Health Group for additional member support specific to your concern.
