@hopeful33250 Thank you for your kind words Teresa. It was truly my pleasure to work with you and be recognized in Mayo's Spotlight feature. I am grateful for the nomination and humbled to join the ranks of so many incredible people. What a wonderful place to be! 😊

@rwinney
First I just want to say what a lovely lady you are. I also admire your outlook and determination to educate yourself and not give in to your various health conditions, atta girl.
I love bread too. I use to make all kinds. Candy however is my downfall and you haven’t tasted good bread until you have filled it with chocolate and caramel. Give it a try sometime you’ll never go back to plain old ordinary every day bread, I assure you.
I know how horrendous the pain of neuropathy is however never lose hope. I had my neuropathy for approximately 30 years or so. At times I could barely walk. However one day all the various types of pain started getting much much better. In fact it all went away with the exception of the numbness. The numbness does cause me to occasionally fall down because I can’t really feel where my feet are and I end up tripping myself but I am very well acquainted with the ground from all my seizures so I don’t really mind. I’m sorry you were refused help at Mayo Cinic. I wish I understood the criteria used to decide to treat and who not to. It’s a shame they can’t see everyone however I too believe Mayo is the best of the best. I’d like to thank you for being part of connect. You have helped a great many people including myself and for that I thank you.
I hope all your maladies improve or better yet get cured. Fingers crossed the Mayo will except you soon.
Health & happiness,
Jake
