@gardeningjunkie An inspiring and happy read to start my day. Love those green and growing things. Freeze your arse off cold here in Hoosierland at present. I started growing houseplants which are now inside for the winter. My electric bill has increased and worth it for my sanity in the cold weather.
Thank you for sharing!!!

@parus Our oil bill is pretty expensive but I cannot stand being cold. Right now I have the heat turned up to @72 but my eyeballs are cold! Seriously, how many people get cold eyeballs? The outside temp is only 20 today. I think I won't go out until a bit later when hopefully it will have warmed up a bit.

When we fly to the southwest for the winter, the true Snowbirds from very cold places like Minneapolis or Canada who come here laugh at us when we identify as Snowbirds. They call use from south Missouri Frostbirds! Growing houseplants is a challenge, much more difficult than when they are in their natural state outside, but they can bring much joy and interest when you care for them inside.
