@contentandwell Hi there. We are doing the same thing, downsizing. My husband built a 26' x26' apt above a double garage for us to move into. It is adorable. I am sad to leave my larger beautiful home, but I am going to give it a try. He wants to be able to lock the door and go. Travel. Plus, a whole lot less maintenance. I am not dismantling my house for a year. We are going to test drive living in the small apt together. (make sure I don't kill him, ha!!) I have been culling through my closets and cabinets and getting rid of lots of stuff to prepare for this change. I am intrigued with the tiny house movement, so this will be a chance to see if I like it. How is your venture in this going?
