@dianrib I can remember doing all of these type of things. Life was not as complicated or complex. I travel a lot when young. Do to scoliosis traveling is out. I have wonderful, happy memories from a time long ago. The Chicago Art museum is one of my favorites and the wall designed long ago by Chagall, some of Wright's houses, wonderful eateries...more dangerous now. I was last there in the early 90's.
Remembering the good 'ol days of not being as fearful are comforting. I tell myself things are not as dangerous as I may believe. Can assure all I would not walk after dark though. My patio is secured with a tight-fitting board I cut to fit and also my bedroom window. I do not live in fear. I am cautious and try to use wisdom as to when I take a walk and where I walk.
Appreciate the comments on the days far gone.
@Parus In Pittsburgh where Andy Warhol is from is a great museum and his house open to public I,he seen the Campbell Tomato soup can larger then life there
@parus
Did you ever visit the Shedd's Aquarium? An outstanding part of the Chicago landscape! Teresa
Still many great things to do downtown but tons more expensive parking is a nightmare. Expensive . Navy Pier ( Lake Michigan ) is beautiful Glad I enjoyed it while I could... I lived in Chicago till 70's Chicago had good public schools back in the day Now not as much They have cut funding which is very short sighted ...o ur kids education is so important.
@dianrib Back in the good old days I grew up in Pa. You could walk after dark and leave your doors open Nicer times
