@kdubois Hi Kelly: I live in a suburb of Detroit, if you give me details (by PM) I'd enjoy seeing the Championships!

Enjoyed learning more about you Kelly (@kdubois), great interview! My co-workers son is on his high schools robotics team but they didn't make it to the finals. It was fun watching the MN state competition via live streaming. I'm thinking Battle Bots and the competition is all about team work and specific tasks that the robots are designed/programmed to do. Great learning experience for the kids and the parents. That is awesome you're going to the World Championships. You'll have to give us a report (and a live stream link if they have one!).
John
P.S. - Forgot to mention YAY KITTENS!
@kdubois You will love the World Championships. My youngest was in Robotics in HS. That was one my most enjoyable things the kids ever did. He came in 4th place out of hundreds of teams. Today he works for a company is developing autonomous cars. It was pure excitement that the tournaments.. Crossing my fingers your daughters team wins.:)
@hopeful33250, once we have our schedule finalized, I will let you know!
@johnbishop hopefully, I will remember to post the link once it's live! Otherwise, you can go on http://www.thebluealliance.com and look for work Championships under events. We don't know which field we'll be on yet, but you can search fro Greater Rochester Robotics Team 340.
@travelgirl our team has been to worlds more than 15 times, but this is the first time I'm going with them. I LOVE that your son is now developing autonomous cars -- just shows that what they learn in robotics can be carried through to life thereafter!
Thanks Kelly!
Thank you @IndianaScott! We're going to World Championships in Detroit in two weeks! Fingers crossed!
