very preliminary report. today met with va audiologist. explained my replacement resounds were not helping me. she gave me a devise made by phonak, called COMFORT DUETTE. its not a hearing aid, its a personal hearing device. gadget clips on belt, has wired headphone, or wired buds
well , I can hear much much better with this $150 buck device, that ever could with hearing aid. time will tell. but 1st impression , wow.

Did the audiologist try to connect your ReSounds to that Phonak Comfort Duette device with a neckloop that would allow you to use the telecoils that should be in the ReSound aids, rather than with a headset? You might be surprised at how well that works. The key to telecoil use is that it eliminates all background noise and focuses totally on what's coming in the microphone on the Comfort Duette device. Not sure why your ReSound aids are not working well. It is true that proper fitting by the person who sells you a hearing aid is vital to your success using it.
