@helennicola ...yes I will let you know... it's odd but I never ever have asked a dentist what they use for numbing agent until lately... I found a site where they explain "testing" of various meds: skin pin prick tests, injections etc., but they don't do them where I live and the way I feel I can't travel. but it's all very complicated... especially if the person being tested has other "allergies" and illnesses as many of us do... I just cant summon the strength or desire to get out of bed today.
One story I must tell you about: it was a Case History of man having very bad reaction to dental medication and he got furious at the dentist; ambulance called and the dentist even accompanied the man to hospital, all the while being berated by the patient. Long story short: turned out it wasn't the numbing agent but an allergic reaction from the man eating and having reaction to the shrimp he ate at lunch, and going to the dentist a few hours later!!! Unless Neurologist says "no" I am getting the tooth out Thursday as I cant afford to let it go and then be on antibiotics.... thanks for answering. June
