I’m going through the same thing now Craig. As I read your post I was like, man, that’s me. It started with BFS worries which turned into ALS worry, but then I got all the symptoms you are facing now like tingling and numbness in the arm and tingling along/around the spine. Also pain and stiffness in the little finger which is probably C8. And cervical MRI came back rather OK aside from some level of herniation. My Physio suspected TOS as well but very hard to diagnose so we just went ahead to strengthen the neck and t-spine.

I think everyone here is right. It’s stress and anxiety which can send you spinning (I’ve spent hours and hours searching for symptoms of ALS, MS, etc). I think it’s the myofascial release and posture that needs to improve and I’m keen to hear how your journey goes, I will post mine as well and hopefully soon we will be symptom free and focusing on positive thoughts without worrying thoughts about underlying issues which can be even more detrimental than the symptoms we are feeling.

Thanks for sharing it here

Borko

I stumbled across this post and it bought some comfort in the midst of similar panic mentioned in the thread. My brother passed with ALS in October. His death and the two years leading up to it have been incredibly traumatic. I was already under major amounts of stress and recently dx with cptsd before this occurred. A month before his passing at exactly the same age his symptoms started I began to have numbness in my left arm. It has progressed to some cramping I have essentially recovered from diagnoses of Fibromyalgia, Lyme and MS ( I think the lesions found on brain were lyme generated not MS) and went into remission after a lot of alternative treatments in 2014. Some of this feels similar but naturally I have begun to worry that it is ALS. Chiros, urgent care and my internist and urgent care suspected issues with neck could be causing and I am starting to have pain there. I don't have insurance so have yet to go to a neuro for a MRI or emg. Amazingly, after I read this thread I took time to read the name of the originator and it's the same as my brother. I have been taking Ativan for panic attacks since my brother passed and interestingly when I take it the numbness and stiffness seems to get better which might indicate it's nerve related. Anyways, ths advince on here has been helpful. I have known to struggle with being overly empathetic so don't know if somehow part of this is somatic as I come unglued daily over my brother being gone.
