Diagnosed w osteoporosis at age 50 (I’m 72now). Took fosamax for 15 years and became osteopenic but now osteoporosis is returned. My endocrinologist feels I’ve maximized benefits of fosamax and that category of drug and recommended prolia. I haven’t taken prescription meds for 7 years. I’m active and have never broken a bone. I do have a couple of risk factors: thalassemia and my mother had several hip fractures in her lifetime starting at age 50.

Your post mirrors what I'm experiencing & I'm terrified of starting Prolia, there are so few good reviews & excessive bad reviews. I was hoping to clear my mind but have not done so. I'm at a loss to know what to do or where to turn.
