Like Ken said, I'd get a second opinion from another GI Dr. Having a EGD (upper endoscopy) is really a simple procedure and painless too. Don't be afraid of it. They give you knock out juice. Stay away from spicey foods, soda, alcohol, fried foods if you have heartburn. Did they put you on antibiotics?
