@mikquack I’m not 22 any longer but I have chest pain like you describe. All my tests also come out negative. A cardiologist told me that it was most probably an esophageal spasm. He said to lie down , try to relax, and take 1-2 Tums. I’m also very careful to note where the pain is, if I get sweaty or nauseous and if the pain radiates anywhere ( all signs of a heart attack). After about a 1/2 hour, I’m okay.
I googled esophageal spasms, and as painful as they are, most are not serious. Ask your doctor if this could be the problem

Yes I have been told this could be a possibility! I’ve had an endoscopy done but I don’t think that checks esophageal spasms? I think that may be one of my nexts steps as I do have an appointment with a gastroenterologist again. I’ve been on tums before because I do suffer from acid reflux but Tums have never helped my chest pain only my acid reflux. I am now on medication for my acid reflux because at first they thought that may be causing my chest pain but the medication is only helping with my acid reflux not chest pain.

@mikquack Mayo Clinic has some good information on esophageal spasms

Check out this website. I thought I’d also try Google Scholar
