Have you tried regular biotene rinse? There are also other dry mouth rinses over the counter. You can also ask the pharmacist. Sugar free hard candy may help.
Even tooth paste can sting when swallowed.
Never use any alcohol Based mouth rinese, as they are drying.
Hope this will help you

ACT dry mouth lozenges are great. I always have some in my purse. There are also sprays. I rinse my mouth with Biotene mouth wash before leaving home. Biotene also puts out a toothpaste, I believe. I always have water in the car with me. Good luck!

@funcountess careful what you use. My new dentist told me the sugar free candies, lozenges, etc can change the acidity of you saliva causing teeth decay. That is what has happened to me. I use to use sugar free candies, ACT Dry Mouth, Xylimelts, TheraBreath Dry Mouth Lozenges. I stopped taking all of they and just use Biotene Dry Mouth wash and spray. I did do a random acidity tests in the mornings and did see a change in the acidity. I stopped using them all. I now only use the Biotene and keep the spray beside my bed when my mouth is dry in the middle of the night. I'm not a fan of their gel. Tooth decay is common with people with Sjogren's Syndrome. I only experience dryness while sleeping. I do tape my mouth closed at night as well.
