Anyone had success with Meloxicam for fat pad atrophy?
Has anyone had luck with the above with pain.? I have fat pad atrophy and it is getting hard to walk and also just went to a neurologist for numbness in my foot. I am getting new orthotics. He prescribed Meloxicam. Thanks for any help regarding the above.

Have not heard of this drug. Sorry. Lori
I have had several dogs on Meloxicam or similar drugs such as Piroxicam or Metacam. They were prescribed for keeping certain cancers at bay and they are also considered NSAIDs. They were not prescribed exclusively for pain, but they have been very helpful in managing the conditions my dogs were diagnosed with. I hope this helps and good luck to you!

@esperanza22, I modified the title of your discussion to better match your query. @hotfooted may have something to add this discussion.
I really hope that the orthotics and medication help. When do you start with the medication?
Thank you Colleen for writing to me. The problem with fat pad atrophy is if I could afford it, there is a doctor in Pennsylvania that does the operation.
They take fat from your body and put it in your foot. It is a dream of mine which right now I cannot afford. I am hoping the neurologist can help with the numbness in my one foot. Going next week for a nerve test and they mentioned some kind of shots after that. I have already started Meloxicam two days ago.
Thank you again.

Isn't meloxicam just another anti Inflammatory ? Not sure if you are getting fobbed off with this drug
Hi,
Just wondering, do you have to take it every day for it to be effective in your experience?
Thanks for any info.
