How long do you take Gabapentin?

I just started Gabapintin last week, For chronic pain ( Headache I have had for 2 years now, nothing has helped yet,)
So my dose starts at 300mg -take one at Pm for 1 week
Keep a journal to see if you are feeling better or any side affects.
My first week has been fine, no changes
So my 2nd week I'm taking 600mg-twice a day.
And I believe it is helping a little on the pain.
I have chronic headaches 24 hours a day, and the best of best neurologist doctors can't not find out why?
So my 3rd week will be 900 mg, 3 times a day
I need to be aware of how I'm feeling, so the doctors will know how much gabapintin will be good for me.

Hi I was reading your post about headaches and they can’t figure out why. I have migraines and found out 40 years ago that it’s artificial sweeteners and preservatives that was causing them. I was drinking diet drinks when I went to the doctor with these headaches. They were debilitating! They also put these artificial chemicals in a lot of the prescription pills. Some I can’t take because of it. Good luck and feel better

update on the gabapentin, I was to edgy, irritable and more- I weaned myself off of the gabapentin.
This chronic headache has gone on now for 2 years, doctors have tried allot -it’s not a migraine ( I can stop the migraine with over the counter migraine meds) Weird to have a migraine with my headache ( pressure on both sides of head, more I do the worst it gets. I feel like I am beginning to live in a black hole
