"Take this medicine only as directed by your doctor. Do not take more of it, do not take it more often, and do not take it for a longer time than your doctor ordered. ... The dose of this medicine will be different for different patients. ... Also, the number of doses you take each day, the time allowed between doses, and the length of time you take the medicine depend on the medical problem for which you are using the medicine."

Some people take Gabpentin for epilepsy, neuropathy, postherpetic neuralgia and other conditions, so the frequency, dosage and length of time will be different for everyone. Are you able to contact your wife's doctor to clarify?

I started taking gabapentin 2 1/2 months ago 200mg 3 times a day after about 2 months My short term memory became very suspect, My legs became weak when trying to walk, Developed back pain,blured vision and neck pain, for me it was not worth it
