@malkani07 - Welcome to Mayo Connect. Is this a photo of you or your Dad? It's very difficult when a parent is I'll. You sound like a very loving and caring son. He's very lucky.

Right now there is no standard for fees charged for operations in the US. Every hospital has its own deal with insurance companies and doctors are at their mercy.

The cost will depend on where he is accepted as a patient, how your dad will pay for his treatment and how much of the virus is around. He will also have to be quarantined and tested for covid 19. I don't know what the immigrant situation is from his country.

I'm sorry to give you all of this news but the present conditions in the US are not good for VISAS. You might want to contact the US embassy to see if this is possible and what your steps should be.

There's always hope when it comes to lung cancer so continue looking for medical solutions for your dad.

This is my picture Merry, I love my father a lot! I know the cost would be too high for private patients but atm I think the same that they are not giving visas due to COVID. I am in touch with mayo clinic and requested them to provide me appointment letter and ministry of health approval letter so that we can come as soon as possible.

I am really thankful to you for proving me information. I also emailed other hospitals and waiting for their reply.
