A few questions come to mind when reading your post. Was the CT scan specifically looking for issues with your kidneys? If so, your medical team will address those masses. If they are included in the body of the report, you may need to ask your team how this information will be looked at. Example, on my last CT scan, there were notations regarding everything the radiologist saw, beyond the reason for the scan in the first place. Are you a Mayo Clinic patient? I believe there is a team approach there.

@glassfern53 Not all CT scans need a contrast dye; the reason a scan is needed often dictates whether a dye is used. I am Stage 4 kidney disease, also, and the patient can refuse the dye.
