@csjolundjr

I would be more than happy to be the "responsible adult" standing by in the Mayo Clinic waiting areas for your procedures. Having done this for my wife many times, I know the drill well.

We live in Rochester about a mile away from the Gonda Building front door. I am a retired US military officer and have been volunteering at Mayo Clinic since 2007. Because of COVID-19, and because all volunteers have been temporarily furloughed, doing this for you would be a natural extension of my normal volunteer duties.

Should you need a reference for my good standing as a volunteer, you can contact either of my Mayo Clinic volunteer services managers: Lisa Brink at 1.507.255.5653 or Rebecca Hynes at 1.507.284.5520

If this is your first trip to Rochester and the Mayo Clinic, I can also help with directions and the process flows. I can also help with finding accomodations and transportation should you need that assistance.

Please private message me and I'll share my contact information. My last name is pronounced "show-land."

Best wishes, Cliff

@csjolundjr, Cliff - What an amazing offer and quick connection. Thank you.

Adelina, I'd like to also make you aware of another free service at Mayo Clinic - the Concierge Services
The staff at the concierge desk can help answer your questions about shuttle service and travel times between locations on the Mayo Clinic Rochester campus. They can also let you know about restaurants who are serving during this time and take out options. You can even ask them about activities and services available during your stay. You can contact Concierge Services by email, phone, chat or in person during business hours:
* Phone: 507-538-8438
