Recurring bladder Infections: What can I do?

I am going to try it. My infection is chronic and comes from E Coli. I understand there is no cure. Urine has to be cultured to find out which antibiotic is effective. However we know that long term antibiotics can lower our immune system so for that reason I will try the D-monose and let u all know if it works well for me.
Glad I have joined Mayo Connect!

I take D-Mannose daily. From what I have read, it causes no problems if you are diabetic. I also have started taking a new product I have seen on line and have researched. It is called Utiva - which packs 36mg of PAC's in each capsule. You take 1 a day. I talked to my Mayo urologist and he said that would be beneficial to take and would not cause any problems. Utiva also has a support group on line that helps quite a bit. Hope this helps.
