I don't know. It is a simple sugar and I think the dosage without infection is half a teaspoon a day and 1 teaspoon a day if there is infection. There is a question section for the product on Amazon where you can ask. I found the reviews very helpful on how to use, too. Even though I don't get infections anymore, I take 1 teaspoon daily in 4 oz water at noon just to be on the safe side. I use the product that comes in a white bag with orange person on it. It was life changing for me.

I am going to try it. My infection is chronic and comes from E Coli. I understand there is no cure. Urine has to be cultured to find out which antibiotic is effective. However we know that long term antibiotics can lower our immune system so for that reason I will try the D-monose and let u all know if it works well for me.
