Is anyone familiar with slipping rib syndrome?

@jdmorgan

I have been recently diagnosed with slipped rib syndrome. It has taken a year to get the diagnosis. After many CT scans, x-rays, MRIs. along with ER visits from being in so much pain. I am happy to connect with someone else that understands. It baffles me that more doctors don't know about this condition. And finding someone to treat it is another issue. I will be following your post and surely hope the treatment that the Doctor at WV did will give you some much needed relief. I live in NM and after talking to my spine Dr. was left disappointed since he had no recommendations. I have been working with a wonderful PT but the relief is minimal and I am limited by what exercises I can do without causing more rib irritation. My question for Aimee is, did you try any kind of injections before deciding to do the surgery? Thank you.

@jdmorgan Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect.

You were recently diagnosed with Slipped Rib Syndrome and are looking to connect with people that have this illness too.

I have to be honest, I hadn't heard of it before Connect but I'm still surprised it is not well known in the medical community.

Member @brayimee has a previous diagnosis and members and mentors @hopeful33250 @jesfactsmon @johnbishop have discussed this topic in the past.

May I ask if you had a chance to follow the links @johnbishop provided and if so, were they helpful?
