My husband of 33 years started gaslighting me. At first he was putting a stain on pajama tops. One earring would be missing. My contacts telephone numbers were changed. He snored very loudly and I would sometimes sleep in a different bedroom. He knew how to use his computer to go through electric outlets and make a loud noise come out in middle of night to wake me. He was very computer knowledgeable and in his business taught computers. I had to divorce after over a year as I was suffering emotionally and physically from his gaslighting. I divorced him and the whole time divorce was going through and two years after divorce, he told me he loved me and wanted to get back together and spend the rest of his life with me. I am in my upper 70’s and still don’t understand this treatment yet he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. I have been single since the divorce but don’t understand the gaslighting. I do suffer from PTSD from loud night noises and will on occasion be awakened with a loud noise but noise never happened as have recorded noises on my IPhone at the time and there was total quiet, no noise. We were married 33 years and dated 1 1/2 years before marriage.
