@grammajackie I am sure that with the long and challenging road to finding a diagnosis for your grandson, you want to to share it widely and hope to help anyone who may have similar symptoms! And thank you for explaining what Mast Cell Activation Syndrome is in your last post to the discussion. I want to thank you for your post, I had my gallbladder taken out in 2011, and had multiple surgeries in that area.
After reading your post it gives peace of mind and hope that one day these doctors will find a way to relieve this pain, it's getting hard for me to eat without having pain, and doing things I used to love doing has to wait due to pain at bending at the waste. Right now my doctor is calling it neuropathy and chronic issues, and giving me medicine to take.
Hello trip17 @trip17
My name is Laura and I have the same issue and the doctors ran a lot of text, and they made excuses to where I'm now taking vitamin B-12 and D3 to bring those up and they are hoping the D3 will help me with my energy level, they also proscribed gabapentin to relieve pain, my gallbladder was removed in 2011 with more surgeries in the same area after that. The doctor had me on Tramadol but I became immune to it so they had to stop prescribing it to me, but raised my gabapentin to 300 mg and after 2 weeks it will go to 600 mg's.
Thanks. I was on Gabapentin but don't think it was doing much plus I gained 60lbs while on it so I stopped 2 months ago. I lost 20 of those pounds but cannot go on it again for fear of weight gain. They tried Trokendi, but it made me sicker and (IN MY OPINION) caused neuropathy in my feet and I didn't need that on top of stomach issues. Having a Celiac Plexus Nerve Pain Block shot next week.
@trip17 I know how you feel about gabapentin. I have also gone through the weight gain. I don't get a lot of relief from pain either. When you went off it did they have you taper or just quit? I see my doctor in a couple of weeks and this will be on my agenda.
I think I tapered off. Was taking 3 pills each night with dinner. The Trokeni he put me on helped me lose 20 lbs in a month but made me sicker and I believe caused neuropathy in my feet.
Hi
I had the same thing. In and out of different doctors and all my tests were negative. Went to see a natural Patric and she figured out and helped me by telling me remedies. I started taking licorice root for a month 3 times a day. Please follow instructions if you take. Then I was weaned off the medication my doctor gave me. I went to see a gastro and he said when there is negative results it’s dyspepsia and you need to watch what you eat. I’m feeling so much better with no flare ups and watching what I eat. I do cheat once in a while but that’s ok.
I hope you feel better and this information helps you.
Robin.

1 ReactionI had a Splanchnic Nerve block procedure last week because I wanted some relief so I could travel next week to a very important event. The procedure did absolutely nothing to ease my daily pain and nausea. In addition, my feet Neuropathy that I get Sanexas treatment for twice a week was working until last week. Now the pain in my feet is back to where is was originally. I’ve exhausted all specialists and tests except a Rheumatologist. I have begun to have all my test results and medical records sent to the Mayo Clinic in Florida. I will then have a video conference with the Doctor to decide how to proceed. It’s a living nightmare that doesn’t seem to have an end to it so I’m counting on the Mayo to come through for me. I cannot live my life this way.
