Hello. Yes, the Prednisone is responsible for a lot of damage to my body and that's a gross understatement. Some of my other toxic medications as well. It's quite simply, a quality of life issue that I agonize over daily. I think I may have mentioned that my recent bone density scan showed my already severe osteoporosis is significantly worse. My husband and I talked to my Endocrinologist for and hour and 20 minutes last Thursday about my drug options to improve my risk of a spine, hip, wrist or other fracture. These Bisphosphonates can have severe side-effects and including severe flu-like symptoms, although rare, femur fractures and a femur tumor!!!!!! I don't know what to do! They've been wanting me to take the medication for over 4 years now. I and others are praying for direction. This is generally how my life goes. I know the Lord will be with me and comfort me whatever happens.
Take care and warmest regards, Sunnyflower 😊

@sunnyflower it is not an easy decision to make. May I suggest talking to the physician who wants to prescribe a medication. Discuss your concerns and if the benefits outweigh the risks. What are the goals you want to achieve? Be prepared to ask questions. Doctors don’t want their time wasted. I believe they will be more cooperative with organized patients. Besides being organized will allow more time for you to ask questions anyways. I would take all the input, think about it before coming to a conclusion. If need be, do more research of your own with the internet and/or by making phone calls. Best of luck!

Hi Sunnyflower, I also have osteoporosis after done a calcium test and been recommended to take Saludynam's Calcium gluconate - link at bhbhealth dot com / products / saludynam This calcium is liquid and it doesn't cause kidney stones. Take 1 small cup (the bottle comes with it) before bed time, once a day. A bottle can last 1.5mth
