Oh Jim. I ache with sympathy pain at what you have been going through. The range of your successes and failures is incredible. Yes there is a part 2 . My doc who put me on oxycontin then suggested I take tramadol which he said didn’t have the same addictive history.
Btw. I too went through the marijuana cycle from vaping to oils, butters etc. Ending with pure CBD oil. Nothing! Then another attempt with those weird Indonesian leaf powders that have strong following. Nothing.
Greetings:
I have tried it all since a spinal cord injury in 2006. By 2010, I was on 300 mg of morphine and 100 mcg of fentanyl. I knew I was dying so I attended the PRC and came off all the drugs. That worked wonderful until 2019 when I was diagnosed with another rare neurological disorder. Fortunately, my state has a medical Marijuana program so I gave it a try. For me, it allows me to move, it helps with my constant nausha and pain by 20%. Keep looking for answers and searching for hope, everyone. My next frontier is using Biofeedback to help reduce pain. I am hopeFULL
Your question requires a longer answer than I can give it tonight. I'll do
my best to remember to respond tomorrow. Short answer - I got tired of the
hassles of keeping ms contin refilled and switched to buprenorphine, which
did little to nothing, and now I'm titrating on Topamax, and the jury is
still out. If it helps, it doesn't last long. I learning to tolerate
chronic level 5-6 pain with 6-8 when I lie down or sit in my recliner,
stand still for more than a minute or walk more than 15.
Jim
I have used a product called Renew by Stratos . it is a 50/50 mix of thc and cbd in a 2 ounce bottle . I would take 3-5 drops in the morning . I wuld take 8 to 10 drops at night . It really helped with the pain I have from neuropathy . There is also a salve that is a 50/50 mix of thc and cbd . It is great . I would rub this on my feet at night . It too really helps with the pain . I wish you the best . Never quit , Never give up or in .
My son works for a prominent pharmaceutical company and tells me they are working on a non-opiod pain reliever. I haven't read up on it but, I'm sure this will be the thing of the future. Government can't impose the removal of opiods from all but, cancer patients, and expect us to be accepting with no back up plan except medical marijuana which remains illegal in many states.
