@sepdvm

We have done that, That was last year when we spoke with a lovely lady who was very positive and helpful. We have found that it may have helped somewhat. Thank you for the suggestion. It was originally suggested by our CNP in urology. We still have a 2 week wait to video visit with the surgeon about further treatment/surgery as the resident did not have many answers when he gave us the bad news about recurrence this week. We would love to connect with anyone who has gone through a radical cystectomy. This seems like the place to gain down to earth information. And I have a huge appreciation for my medical oncologist who called me personally last evening to see how I was doing with the new immunotherapy infusion for my metastatic squamous cell carcinoma. She is absolutely the best!

@sepdvm, I'm glad it has helped your and your husband's situation somewhat. I'm also confident that it will help improve the patient experience in urology for others. Thank you.

Sue, members like @spooz2 @madebacco @lclancy @tattrigoo and @mayobruce may have experiences about a radical cystectomy to share. Also see these related discussions:

I'm sorry to hear of your husband's recurrence and that you have to wait 2 weeks to discuss the treatment plan. Do you know if surgery is the only option on the table at this point or is that what you are waiting to learn?
