Sue, now that I have become of Medicare age, the saline solution is not covered by part D......if you order it on line or want to go to a pharmacy that is not your primary one, do you need to have to a script? My current script is on file at my primary pharmacy, but even with an Rx coupon, the cost is more than some other places I could go.....just wondering if you would know?

migizii, I know this question was directed at Sue, but I can help too. She may add more info when she sees this. Have you tried the site http://www.goodrx.com? That site can tell you who carries the saline and the prices, plus, I believe give you a discount coupon. You do need a script for it. It can be ordered online as well.

I'm new here......as you noticed there's a huge variety of price fluctuation regarding saline which is basically salt water.
It didn't exactly take a rocket scientist to invent it so other than keeping it safe & sterile of quality, packaging and shipping the pharmaceutical companies probably make tremendous profit.
Being sick and a bit cranky I lost my temper one day and complained quite angrily....not my usual personality....the company I was at immediately gave me quite a different price quote.....you may want to try asking politely instead though.
