Just wanted to see if you had the Nevro stimulator put in and if so how are you doing?
to Genomacc - I have the Nevro SCS installed and it's working wonderfully. We are still adjusting it. I have other situations also, but one is scoliosis, both side to side and back to front. The pain clinic where I had the trial unit installed couldn't get both leads in so I only had one. The neurosurgeon chose a different area and was able to get both leads in. female, 63
Hi Genomacc, Did you ever get the permanent NEVRO implanted and has it significantly reduced your pain? I am considering one for my lower back and right foot pain. Thanks Marty
Hello Geno, did you ever have the Permanent NEVRO implanted? If you did are you happy with the result? I had the the Medtronic permanent implanted around 2 and a half years ago. Got 50% relief but couldn't take the parathesia after two months I had it removed. Tried the Abbott DRG trial twice in a year and did not got any relief. I'm considering the NEVRO HFX next. I have, the physcological exam later today. If I pass the insurance company will review and if they give approval I will then the trial NEVRO. Please let us know if you had the NEVRO and the results. Good luck and God bless. Thank you
@genomacc Are you close to a Mayo Clinic? It sounds like you need a surgery like mine. A fusion surgery. I feel for you for I have pain down my legs and back. Sleeping is sometimes a problem so I have to take a sleeping pill. I get up early, because I hurt just laying there. The neurologist said they could put in some kind of pain Thing. But my surgeon told me if I did that and decided to have the fusion surgery it could cause more infection. So I decided against it. I am a good candidate for the fusion surgery. They even did a test on me to see if it would work. The assistant surgeon told me the surgery will help me. I can't wait to get rid of this pain. I know I will hurt afterwards, but I have 3 pain pills I will take and will they will be sent home with me. They are Percocet, Tramadol, and Valium that is suppose to help my spasms after the surgery. It's a long surgery, but I'm so excited that I only have to wait till the 9th of June. I have waited a long time.
