Hey, friends,I spent last night in the hospital and was diagnosed with a
TIA because my right fingers froze and I couldn't move them. My right side of my face was tight for w thile. I had an MRI and they said no damage but they found an infection which I am treating. They said there was no cause for it, and it can happen any time at any age. My neck arteries and heart are good. My blood bredduse and blood sugar returned to normal. I am very tired, however.

@dorisena I'm glad that there was no real problem. My daughter had a TIA a long time ago, when she was in her mid-20s (she's 38 now). She spent the night in the hospital and had many tests but everything was OK. She was in a line at lunchtime and started babbling so her friends brought her home. When one of her roommates got home she insisted she go to the hospital. That roommate's father was a doctor so she was pretty medically aware.
It ended up costing her a bundle, her insurance was not the greatest, but she was fine and has never had a problem since.

I got a copy of the neck test, and it said the artery on the right side had stenosis. My spine had stenosis. Doesn't that mean it wasn't flowing clearly?
My computer study said "cholesterol deposits. My blood test at the doctor said too much protein in my blood. Another article said Metformin is bad for B'12 which is needed for the protein problem. I have lost my appetite. But i passed the virus test. I will keep on eating my veggies. Dorisena
Another article said I would probably have a full stroke within 90 days. Another article said to avoid alpha blockers, which I am prescribed. Two of my prescriptions were on the "bad" list. I am going to decrease my Metformin to one pill a day. I can control what I eat quite well with the vegetables. Dorisena
@dorisena if I were you, I would check with my doctor first before I changed the dosage of any meds that are prescribed. There is a reason why you are on the dosage of Metformin to begin with. Just my opinion though.

For anyone over 5 years old, it’s never a good idea to play doctor. I strongly suggest you contact his/her nurse before making changes in your medication dosage. A few minutes of your time could save a lot of “headaches” later.
When I saw my doctor last week, he never asked me about my diabetes, my diet, or my program. He forgot to order my AIC for the blood test. I think he forgot I had diabetes. I am college educated in physiology and nutrition. Don't advise me to get another doctor, as it is impossible in my area. Dorisena
@dorisena You are a smart lady I'm not far behind in age as a retired nurse I have always done holistc health yes nutrition is healing food the right kinds as you know.Ive do vit- min ,herbs and homeopathics which have kept me going .I'm surprised he didn't order your A1C crazy Take care
