@lilypaws .. most of the time there is no pain.. just when it catches and won't close. Sometimes I will get a bad headache and then I realize my jaws are out of alignment. When that happens I usually put my fingertips at the jaw joint and move my lower jaw around until I fill a pop and I check my bite and if it doesn't feel right I repeat until it does. I don't feel the alignment off.. I will have a headache much like a migraine. I just have to pay attention to how the headache is as to what is causing it. I tend to have migraine headaches and headaches from a bad neck. I also have Trigeminal neuralgia which can cause jaw pain... feels different than tmj.
