Divot (or Dent) in Thigh, Five Months After Giving Birth
Good morning All,
I gave birth five months ago to a healthy baby boy. Yesterday, I noticed a divot, maybe three inches long and one inch high, on my right thigh. I've had right hip pain for years and sometimes see a chiropractor to get it sorted out when it gets too bad. It was fine through pregnancy and isn't acting up too much now. I was shocked because I never noticed this before. It's almost a perfect palm rest. Is this something that can happen after birth? Is the fat on my body just shifting? I started walking again, trying to get 10,000 steps per day, and was wondering if maybe that was the cause? The left leg doesn't have the same thing. Everything I googled was terrifying, but I have no foot cramps/electric shock.
Thank you

I have the same thing! I’m sooo happy I found this thread, it is very reassuring to hear that other moms experienced the same thing and it wasn’t anything serious, even if it did last. I recently read that your body uses the best quality fat from your butt and thighs to feed the baby for their brain development (if breastfeeding). I wonder if it is related to that. I will see my doctor soon and post if I find anything out.
