(nANCY/SHORTSHOT) aBOUT THREE WEEKS AGO i HAD FIVE RADIATION SESSIONS IN ABOUT 10 DAYS... i WAS TOLD i CANNOT HAVE ANY MORE RADIATION TREATMEANT ever! THEN MY DOC ALSO PUT ME OUT AND WENT DOWN MY TROAT WITH A CAMERA AND WENT INTO MY RIGHT LUNG WITH IT.. GAVE ME SOME MEDICINE FOR ME NOT TO COUGH. tHEN i HAD TO HAVE A SURGERY TO PUT A "FILTER INTO A VEIN IN M STOMACH. i WAS TOLD THEN i BELIEVE THAT THERE IS NOT MORE TREATMENTS FOR ME EVER. . sO i THINK WHAT EVER HAPPENS WILL HAPPEN. i SAW MY PRIMARY DOC WHO HAS ME ON SOME MEDICATION FOR DEPRESSION. wELL i GUESS THAT ALL MEANS THERE ISN'T ANYTHING MORE THAT THEY CAN DO FOR ME.i AM 87 YEARS OLD......sO i GUESS i'LL SEE WHAT HAPPENS IN THE FUTURE. cOLLEEN, THANKS FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE FOR ME. aT LEAST i FINISHED MY BOOK. tHAT IS AN ACCOMPLISHMENT. nANCY
@meka- Hi! Yes it's very common to have shortness of breath and fatigue. It's unfortunate that this wasn't explained to you. Your radiologist should have explained all of this to you. After 6 months when the effects peak it should get better. I was warned to be careful not to strain my lungs and if I exercised to use very light weights. Do you have any more sessions left?
