@llioness and @johnbishop, I'm laughing, Linda, at your response to John about the daddy longlegs and it reminded me of the very first "love letter" I received from my boyfriend, aged 9, while at our church camp in central Tx. I'd gone the week before and had written him. I still have his "letter" all about the daddy longlegs "spryder" cave exploration I'd experienced too. I hope my spelling was better than his, but who knows??? lol Much faded and in pencil, it holds an honored place in my "treasured box" of correspondence. While we learned at camp that the longlegs were harmless although large and all over the inside cave, it would have been a scary shock to me as well, John, for one to hop up on my glasses!!! Thanks to both of you for the post and the longlegs memory. FYI, we remained boy and girl friends until I introduced him to the "new girl in town" our freshman year of high school. While the "new girl" and I became friends, I lost a boyo in the process. However, she and I have continued to stay in touch and the exchange was worth the initial disappointment, right?
