Visual Escapes and Daily Inspirations: Share Yours
Let's create a space to offer a daily reprieve.
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought a lot of uncertainty and fear into our lives. Some of that fear and uncertainty can be caused by over thinking what is going on or unnecessarily worrying. So, I'm making sure I wash my hands frequently, not touching my face, staying away from social gatherings and all of the recommended guidelines to help avoid getting or spreading COVID-19 but it can be a little boring. I try to not watch news all day long while I'm in this self imposed captivity. I like to take pictures of birds and other creatures from my window as a welcome break.
I invite you to join me in sharing pictures, favorite poems, sayings, mottos, funny moments. Let's take a daily break together.

Anybody up for a challenge? How about you @zeiracorp, @mkjames, @iamkaren, @user_ch32491d1, @bern1958, @liz223, and @grannybrenda? Anyone else? The challenge -- before and after or young and older pictures.
I'll go first, here's a picture of my current oldest cat Oreo when she was a kitten and sitting in the catbird seat and a few years later when she was sitting outside my window soaking up some sun and watching me work.
Stunning face!
@rwinney she is old and frail now, just like her owner 🙂
@johnbishop I keep watching out my back window each morning, figuring to see the fawn/s from this year's batch. so far they are pretty hidden. This morning there were 6 deer in the back, happily looking over and choosing delectable goodies from that big field. It rained over an inch yesterday, and in the next few days we will be using some strong herbicide on the wild blackberries that continue to undermine our fence. The deer do not come right to the fence on east and south sides, so no issue.
The goslings have gotten real big now, and it's hard to distinguish them from their parents from a distance!

Oh, @johnbishop, What a lovely surprise to see a newly born fawn nearby!!! Hope the little fella made it back to rejoin his mamma. Can only imagine the delight seeing the newborn brought. Thank you for the lift today!
@zeiracorp, What a pretty girl!!
@johnbishop What a beautiful cat! I love his colors. My husband told me he would devorce me if I got a cat, but I can have a dog, another nicer one than the last one we had. We will only get Papillons. I don't know how to send picture, but I'm not feeling too hot. My surgery is 9 days away. and with the pain I haven't been able to think straight and I'm taking the same meds. except Tymlos, which is to increase my bones. I have been having side effect from that, I think that's why I'm so fatigued and I have gained over 11 pound. I weigh more now then when I was fully pregnant. That's another side effect. My endocrinologist wants to start me on another one after I get healed from my surgery.
This is my favorite tree in Cashmere, Washington. I still hope to get there this year to see it in all its glory this fall.Waiting for the borders to open up again.
@imakaren, This is breathtaking! Thanks for posting...what grandeur in just one tree!
@iamkaren the tree color really pops out!
