Visual Escapes and Daily Inspirations: Share Yours
Let's create a space to offer a daily reprieve.
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought a lot of uncertainty and fear into our lives. Some of that fear and uncertainty can be caused by over thinking what is going on or unnecessarily worrying. So, I'm making sure I wash my hands frequently, not touching my face, staying away from social gatherings and all of the recommended guidelines to help avoid getting or spreading COVID-19 but it can be a little boring. I try to not watch news all day long while I'm in this self imposed captivity. I like to take pictures of birds and other creatures from my window as a welcome break.
I invite you to join me in sharing pictures, favorite poems, sayings, mottos, funny moments. Let's take a daily break together.

@johnbishop We have a family of 5 red-headed woodpeckers. Last week they started flight lessons. Balancing on a wooden fence is not for the faint-of-heart, just ask those four youngsters! Sorry no pictures.
Ginger
Bet that would have made a great picture @gingerw!
Bummer, I had a visual escape without the ability to take a picture. Rough mowing part of the woods area of my lot that I had cleared out last fall and wanted to keep it fairly open. The weeds were about 6 to 7 inches tall and I'm slowly going because the ground is rough. I had been mowing for about 20 minutes or so and was surprised when a newly born fawn jumped up out of the weeds about 4 feet away from me. I stopped the mower and looked around. Didn't see hide nor hair of momma deer. The little guy could hardly walk but did get to the road and into my neighbors woods across the street.
For all the bird watchers. The bald eagle has returned!
