Well Colleen, you just made my day. I was looking through some old postings and stumbled across yours, here. Thanks for this recommendation. I love following the Cornell Lab of Ornithology Live Bird Cams. Many times I have my IPad set so I can watch the bird feeder birds while on another iPad I do something else. Right now the bird feeder has a Baltimore Oriole, grackle, and the wonderful sound of honking geese. Following the Savanna Hawks last year was at times agonizing but ultimately beautiful.

Here's the bird pic for what was tomorrow, yesterday. This is a picture of a wonderful little bird being brought back by Jay after crashing into a window and being stunned. As we have warmer weather, there are more birds. Yesterday.....the Red Tanagers showed up to add even more color to the Orioles. When we hear a bit of a crash, Jay finds the bird. If stunned, Jay will hold it until it revives. This one took 2 hours. I found him singing to this little guy as well as stroking his back. Guess the little guy liked Jay's singing because he finally started to move and actually ended up flying right out of Jay's hand.

Our biggest bird crash was a 22-pound turkey. The mark is still on the window. And when it rains......we get a bucket out for the leak. So our chipmunks join the bird ranks and that is quite a party. Hummingbirds are territorial and they attack the chipmunks. The chipmunks fight it out and move out of the way.......yesterday we had three of them.

What fun and a great way to enjoy some happiness.
