Visual Escapes and Daily Inspirations: Share Yours

Let's create a space to offer a daily reprieve.

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought a lot of uncertainty and fear into our lives. Some of that fear and uncertainty can be caused by over thinking what is going on or unnecessarily worrying. So, I'm making sure I wash my hands frequently, not touching my face, staying away from social gatherings and all of the recommended guidelines to help avoid getting or spreading COVID-19 but it can be a little boring. I try to not watch news all day long while I'm in this self imposed captivity. I like to take pictures of birds and other creatures from my window as a welcome break.

I invite you to join me in sharing pictures, favorite poems, sayings, mottos, funny moments. Let's take a daily break together.

I thought it would be nice to share a rainbow, all things considered. The sign represents a landmark in my town, Jumpin Jack's. It's a throw back to 50's era of drive up eateries. Its seasonal and sad that it has missed it's long awaited annual end of March opening. Lines are normally out to the parking lot for burgers, fish and clam fries, etc... Yummm! It'll come, it'll come. 🌈

Pretty rainbow Rachel. Little known fact about “Golden Arches” - I worked at the first / original McDonalds in San Bernardino, California when I was in high school.

So that was you I remembered. An early member of the Inland Empire. Jay asked me about that last night. Thought it was a movie set in Hollywood. Happy memories.

Almost forgot.....one of my friends was a legal beagle to judges in San Bernadino for 27 years. He drove back and forth every day from Idyllwild. That's 150 miles. He calculated how many times he has circled the earth at the equator after 27 years.

@artscaping Guilty as charged 🙂 -- Only a museum there today. It was a few blocks south of the high school on E Street which was the main drag for "cruising" in the 50s & 60s. https://californiathroughmylens.com/original-mcdonalds-museum-san-bernardino
