Visual Escapes and Daily Inspirations: Share Yours
Let's create a space to offer a daily reprieve.
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought a lot of uncertainty and fear into our lives. Some of that fear and uncertainty can be caused by over thinking what is going on or unnecessarily worrying. So, I'm making sure I wash my hands frequently, not touching my face, staying away from social gatherings and all of the recommended guidelines to help avoid getting or spreading COVID-19 but it can be a little boring. I try to not watch news all day long while I'm in this self imposed captivity. I like to take pictures of birds and other creatures from my window as a welcome break.
I invite you to join me in sharing pictures, favorite poems, sayings, mottos, funny moments. Let's take a daily break together.

Nice Linda!
@virgo1952, Your post had me laughing from the outset! Think I kinda' look like this kitty first glance..and sometimes only...in the mirror each morning. Who Is that old, wrinkled, grey haired woman with possum spiked hair sprouting out all over the place...Not on any drugs...yet! and so far not tempted to sample Kitty's stash of catnip but I'm not making promises for tomorrow. Thanks for the smiles and caution to use cat nip responsibly...I need all the help I can get!
@virgo, I thoroughly enjoyed your witty, amusing "important message".. Keep up the blarney, some of us need and thrive on an extra large dose of it right now. ... and if I could contribute some, I would too. Smiles
Good for You, @lioness! I keep telling myself, in the next life, in the next life...
Now @zeiracorp, granted we are all friends here, but do I Really have to confess my dance moves. After all, some of us are older and we don't want to raise anyone's b.p. do we? Smiles...I've got rhythm, I've got.....who could ask for.....
Pure Joy! @zeiracorp, Both tulips and the wee kitten! Thanks for posting.
@rwinney you mentioned you like taking photos of flowers. Here are a couple I've taken. The first one is a "ditch lily" that I transplanted to my yard and it blooms near my computer window every spring to early summer. The second one is a Dahlia that I took when we were in Fairbanks, Alaska on vacation in 2002. I couldn't get over how large some of the blooms were.
Do you have any flower photos to share?
Great photos, John, of gorgeous flowers!
@johnbishop The ditch lilly back east we called Daylilly both are beautiful
