Visual Escapes and Daily Inspirations: Share Yours
Let's create a space to offer a daily reprieve.
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought a lot of uncertainty and fear into our lives. Some of that fear and uncertainty can be caused by over thinking what is going on or unnecessarily worrying. So, I'm making sure I wash my hands frequently, not touching my face, staying away from social gatherings and all of the recommended guidelines to help avoid getting or spreading COVID-19 but it can be a little boring. I try to not watch news all day long while I'm in this self imposed captivity. I like to take pictures of birds and other creatures from my window as a welcome break.
I invite you to join me in sharing pictures, favorite poems, sayings, mottos, funny moments. Let's take a daily break together.

Hi, @virgo1952 The One thing we passionate gardeners must never do is give up! vbg Ladybugs are natural predators of aphids and I do continue to purchase and release them. While I do get those horrid tomato caterpillars...can't recall name...I also love and plant nasturtiums each year in the same bed with tomatoes (along with, basil, parsley, onions) and have had no problems with aphids with these veggies. Wish I could advise but just don't have the expertise or knowledge.
@lioness I hear a business opportunity. Lioness and ladybug captor!!!!! 🙃
@virgo1952 I just remembered something plant marigolds there is an oder that is secreted that is good for the garden Im not sure about aphids but small animals dont like it and wont cross over .
@fiesty76 great advise. @lioness also. I will purchase Ladybugs (unless lioness wants to send me some - only kidding) 🙂 AND plant nasturtiums too. Cause I like them and put them in my salads. My Mom planted nasturtiums ever year, so it’s a sentimental thing. Thank you for answering me. On the hunt for babies, heard there might be some at the lake 🤞Oh Boy.
@viego1952 LOL no you dont bleed you your garden Dried blood does . Glad the baby geese have arrived dont get wet you dont want to melt .
@fiesty76 @lioness @bookysue @johnbishop @gingerw I ran out of space for more online names So, this is for everybody. Due to technical difficulties, I find myself not able to download all my photos from my first bike adventure of the year. This is Tommy the Turkey. He’a friend of mine I met (and others. Which I hopefully will figure out what’s going on, John😢) I met him 2-3 years ago while on a ride. He was sitting on a porch making a big racket. Now, I know a “gobble” when I hear one. So, I walked to their fence (met the owners along the way) and took a look. It was LOVE at first sight. Hey, different strokes for different folks or maybe don’t judge a book by it’s cover, hmm? This is no wild turkey, people. This a refined, come hither kind of turkey ( if you know what I mean) He sauntered to the fence and went into full plume ( I guess that’s what you call it) and paraded in front of me. What girl wouldn’t be impressed? So, when I’m on my ride of the island, I always stop to visit Tommy. I will call his name , he knows my voice and He saunters to the fence, parades and gobbles. Sure wish I knew what he was saying. Oh well....,,,
Thank u 🥰
He’s a cutie.
