Visual Escapes and Daily Inspirations: Share Yours
Let's create a space to offer a daily reprieve.
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought a lot of uncertainty and fear into our lives. Some of that fear and uncertainty can be caused by over thinking what is going on or unnecessarily worrying. So, I'm making sure I wash my hands frequently, not touching my face, staying away from social gatherings and all of the recommended guidelines to help avoid getting or spreading COVID-19 but it can be a little boring. I try to not watch news all day long while I'm in this self imposed captivity. I like to take pictures of birds and other creatures from my window as a welcome break.
I invite you to join me in sharing pictures, favorite poems, sayings, mottos, funny moments. Let's take a daily break together.

Wow, a drone monitor! What an innovative idea! I heard about the Australian police using helicopter to disperse people on the beach. The flew low enough (and safe enough) so it created a sand storm.
Omg Big Brother is watching!! I’m a sci fi lover and have found fantasy turning into reality over time too weird
Interesting. I like how even their nose is split. My mom’s is the first I’ve seen.
@sueinmn look what showed up in my Memories page... 🙂
@johnbishop Wow! That must be an Edinburg thing - pretty sure our little town doesn't have drones.
We strictly watch our group sizes & spacing here - 4 can walk within our park and stay 6' or more apart, any more and we break into smaller groups. When we sew masks everything is sanitized before & after, each task is at a well-spaced table with one person. Asst mgr laughs at our efforts to keep things clean & safe, but I think as the numbers here grow even she is beginning to be concerned.
We finally convinced manager to lock our gates to keep out casual visitors and remind residents, many of whom are working millennials, to stay home most of the time.
Under stay-at-home here for at least 15 more days - we manage with one early-morning grocery run per week. Everyone here - shoppers, employees, police are in masks.
Stay safe!
Sue
@johnbishop The drone operator is glad I wasn't in the group being watched. Simply too invasive, and the drone wouldn't have made it home...
Ginger
That was my thoughts too @gingerw 🙂
Whoo Hoo! Won the trifecta late yesterday - a cardinal, an upside down bird and a red house finch or sparrow. The sun is out it's 30 degrees and climbing to a high of 47 for the day. How is your day going?
Oh they are so cute! We have crows, seagulls and more crows. The family of bluebirds nesting in our plum tree, are not crested. I am seeings robins this year again ( went away for a few years?predators?), but in select areas (lake, certain neighborhoods where they feel safe and food source) We have a lot of squirrels, which may be a reason. Hoping to see hummingbirds this year. Usually I plant flowers in big pots on our patio. The love RED and hang nectar. We lost Hobbes (our tabby three weeks ago,I’m still reeling) 18-19 years old . Had been struggling with colon issues ( sound familiar?) (Both of us on similar meds) Goes to show how much our systems are similar. Oops! Digressed here. So, putting multiple feeders out is our plan. Keep those birdie pics coming. I will continue to amaze you with wildlife from Lake Sacajwea, now with multiple pics😀
Zeirocorp, I so enjoy seeing pics of wildlife and their curious expressions and antics. Thanks for sharing these.
