@dbrhdarby Wow! I learned how to “talk to the cats” when my kids were little and driving me nuts!(cats never listen, either).
Have you been a caregiver for a long time? Taking care of your mom must be especially difficult. Have you checked with the local Agency on Aging. There is usually one in every county. The have lots of good ideas. Try it and let me know what you learn

I was taking care of my mom for a few months while still working a F/T job and it was EXTREMELY difficult. But I love my mom and did what I had to do. But, I knew I needed more help once she wandered outside while I was at work!!!!! And all the home nursing places that I checked out was too expensive for my pockets and the cheaper nursing places (meaning the not for profit type of places) couldn't stay the length of time that I needed them to stay while I was at work. It was a LONGGGGGGGGG process but I applied for financial aid for my mom so she could get placed into a memory care center. Without financial aid it would have cost over $5,000 per month.
