@merpreb Hi Mary, you can fact check this, this is what I heard on the news yesterday: the Chinese American woman who contacted the virus at the source visiting relatives, infected her american husband after weeks of "intimate" contact back home in Illinois. The two went on to have "casual" contacts with 200+ people before realizing they were sick. The state tested the 200+ people and didn't find 1 case of infection. Their conclusion was casual contact is unlikely to spread the virus.
@merpreb I think we as a country have become way too complacent, as Italy was, and if we do not get more vigilant we will end up in the same position with doctors choosing who will live and who will not. I have made the very difficult decision to forego going to my gym. I am still deciding if I will go to the pool since there is little contact with others and I can get out of the pool, change into dry clothes and leave to shower at home. I hate not exercising there, I am not very good about exercising at home, but as they say, change begins with each person. If everyone suspended going to places like that then we could halt the spread of coronavirus. There are many excellent articles out there, they should be heeded. Singapore has been praised for its response. More people have been tested there than in the entire US and they have managed to keep the curve almost flat.
