Anyone else currently in an IVF round or in TWW?
I’d love to commiserate and share all of the things we WANT to google but won’t let ourselves! I’ll go first: “success rates of grade b embryos”
I won’t let myself do it and I’m trying to stay positive! I keep telling myself “B’s make babies!”

I do not know much about the grade b embryos and how that all plays out but I 100% support you not going on google!!! I have told myself since I was a teenager and diagnosed with endometriosis that I would not google my questions! Ha
Well, let me tell you about my grade B embryo. He will be turning 1 year old a week from today!!!!!! So yes, grade B embryos can make babies! And he’s a stronger and busy little bugger. Don’t lose hope. Be persistent! It may take quite a few tries, but the more tries, the better the chances. The hardest part is the wait. Keep yourself busy and don’t dwell on it, that dwelling stress is not helpful at all. Again, grade B embryos are still good embryos!
This made my morning!!! We take our beta tomorrow and I’ve tried remaining super positive this TWW but it’s hard!
@minnesotamrsa Good luck with the beta!! I am sending you good vibes!
Have any of you been on Lupron? This upcoming cycle will be my first experience with it. I am curious what sort of things you experienced while on it. I like to know what I am in for. 🙂
I have been on lupron. I don’t recall having any issues with it because it quiets everything waaaaaaaaaaay down. I remember feeling less “hormonal” on my frozen cycles versus fresh which makes sense. I didn’t have any adverse reactions to lupron. Everything was just quiet. It was after the lupron that things ramped up because they wake your body up to prepare for hopefully a baby!
The worst part of lupron was probably the injection piece because let’s face it, injections just suck all around. ;). I think menopur is by far the worst out of the bunch.....in the muscle stinging feeling yeah.....that one was the worst for me.
I am glad to hear your experience with Lupron wasn't too bad. I hope I have the same! This will be my first cycle with intramuscular Menopur and Gonal. I am a little nervous about getting those every day, but I think my husband is even more nervous! 😀 They were both subcutaneous during my first round, so I did those shots myself. This time will certainly be different! But, I am hoping it'll all lead to better results this go round.
My hubs was nervous too but I have a huuuuuuuge needle aversion so IVF is definitely a test of strength and fear for me in that department. My hubby had to do all the injections while I covered my eyes and focused on breathing. Menopur is the muscles sucks but minor inconvenience and worth it to hold that baby. We have done Gonal F and Follistim. (2 different retrieval cycles) and I always get the hormone crazies on retrieval cycles. Usually it’s the mood swings that are my giveaway. I get extra weepy and easily irritated.....it’s like being pregnant but at this point you aren’t.😉
I'm not in the TWW or anything, but I remember for me the lupron with birth control (down regulation) was really difficult for me. Emotionally I was very irritable and just not a good person to be around. I remember being actually excited to start hormones for Stim (gonal F / menopur) & FET (estrace / progesterone) as I felt better and more like myself. Towards the end of the stimulation (last week) I would get emotional again. If that helps at all...
