Numbness All Over: My story...

Just a quick update. I’ve been feeling incredibly tired lately and have started to feel lumps in both armpits. I called the hospital to be referred to a new doctor for a second opinion and was put on a 2 month wait list. The internet is not good when you’re sick and looking for answers, so I reached out to an ex-girlfriend back in Illinois who is a BSN and I hadn’t talked to her in well over 3 years. She said a lot of my symptoms line up with lymphoma or leukemia. My grandfather died from leukemia in 2016. Never drank, never smoked. It was just cruel. So she told me I should see a doctor immediately, and demand a CT of chest (coughing, wheezing, pain, swollen armpits), abdomen (pain and positive US showing swollen liver and spleen) and pelvic region (swollen lymph nodes). She said if they decline to walk out and go to another ER until I find one who will do a CT. I didn’t mention my pelvic bone area is swollen on both sides, as is the area around my collarbone (also both sides). I’ve put off going to the hospital for about a week now because of fear of the unknown and resignation that I will likely have to move back to Florida with my parents if it’s anything serious (no income, no unemployment, less than 2 months left of savings). So I’m gonna do it tomorrow. I’m a total wreck emotionally and I’m all alone doing it, but I’m not getting any better and sleeping 14-16 hours a day isn’t normal. I’ll update what I find out.

Thank you,
-Ryan

@tigernike1, I always appreciate it when members return with an update. I'm sorry that your situation has not yet been clarified, but am encouraged that members here along with your ex-girlfriend who is a BSN all agree that you need to be seen my a medical professional. I know that you are worn out and very tired, but you need to keep that promise to yourself and go to the ER. Perhaps call ahead to find out what the protocol is with COVID-19. Wear a mask if you have one or a face covering.
Keep us posted, please.
