@imallears , @fiesty76 Oh, Mary, you are sooooo right! I have lots of hats, use 70-100 neutrogena sunscreen plus facial suncreen and don't get spray tan or use a tan cream anymore. Haven't found one yet that doesn't turn a bit yellow. May be my skin, as I'm very fair and burn easily.....blisters all over as a teen/young adult and really dangerous for me. Thankfully, no melanoma yet, but I'm ck'd yearly and keep a watch for anything. I have to watch the tops of my feet! Sandals.......they can really hurt with neuropathy issues, too.
But, I still have a Vit D3 deficiency, so I stay on top of that, too. Mary, we wear sunglasses every time we go outside, correct? Those UV rays are bad for our eyes, plus I have sarcoid in my eyes and the light is a beast....but I can't survive w/o it....gloomy, gray days add up to depression for me if there're too many in a row. Have to have the sun.....blessings all. elizabeth

@imallears, @ess77, Well, drat it all, I managed to erase an earlier reply. When going through some rough times, I used to go to dept stores to try on all the hats and then pop over to a card shop to read the humorous cards. Both always brought some smiles and lifted my spirits!

A big fan of hats for all seasons and reasons. my closet door rack sports a large variety. Not only are they great for sun protection but also camouflage for those bad hair days and just whenever one feels the need for an added bit of sass, right?

Another sunshine girl, I am thankful that dark/drear days here are usually of short duration and far between. Additional Vit. D3 is necessary too for my osteoporosis.

When a shrub trimmer rang the doorbell to tell me he'd finished and gave me the job cost, tears started pouring down my cheeks. Alarmed the fella said: "Oh, maam, I can reduce the price if that would help." I quickly assured him that I 'd just forgotten my sunglasses and my eyes were extremely sensitive to sunlight and bright lights. Never forgot his kindness but it was also funny. Sunglasses are a top priority for me, too. I have several pairs stashed near doors and in the car. Hoping for a bit of sun for all today.
