@joybringer1 what about the humble marigold? They say that if you plant them near the door, they are supposed to keep the mice from entering your house.

I know that they are somewhat successful with squirrels, perhaps rabbits. Everything is worth exploring. Thanks

@artis01,We did plant marigolds in the past. We don't know if it was the deer or rabbits who ate all of those. @joybringer1
