@imallears Eeeeuw. Snake? You are some Wild Woman in the Culinary Adventure Department. My family virtually lived on venison (deer, for the uninitiated) one bleak winter, with turnips. I can't even look at venison anymore, but I love turnips to this day. I tried swordfish years ago in NYC. Not my favorite. Is it a protected species nowadays? I had Mallard l'orange in Paris on (one of) my honeymoon(s). Lol

Swordfish is farmed a lot and I think, like a lot of fish, there are limits on harvesting and undersized swordfish are off limits. I had it once also and didn’t like it. Our Publix always has the steaks frozen but it is probably farmed. The snake, like eel tasted like grilled meat tidbits. We also have gator bites on our Florida menus but I have never had them...they always seem to be fried. I should walk down by the water to see if I can spot any gators. Saw the dolphins when walking in Tarpon Springs once...awesome creatures. Getting ready for the gym...will be offline until tonight.
Walk and stay healthy you guys

@artist01 I'm with you we had venison every year in our freezer now I can't eat it anymore Can't eat any wildlife but I do like rabbit

Oh, dear, I hope this doesn't change our friendship, @artist01 but the one food I resist above all is boiled turnips. Seemed like my mom served them weekly and the smell alone lasted for days. Turnip greens are another matter entirely...so is the friendship back on??? Smiles
